DC Local Hot Saucer Takes 4 Awards at 2006 Scovies

Brennan G. Proctor (a.k.a. Uncle Brutha) sells his hot sauces in person at Eastern Market on the weekends. I have been picking up the occasional bottle over the last year on the weekends I that I am lucky enough to have the time to go by the market. I haven't been lucky enough to have his Chile Verde sauce yet but the next time that I hit the market I am certainly going to pick one up. The winning sauces were Uncle Brutha's Fire Sauce #9, Chile Verde, Garlic & Ginger, And Fire Sauce # 10 Four Chile & Garlic

The judging for the 2006 Scovie Awards Competition was held at County Line Barbecue Restaurant in Albuquerque. The complete results are announced on the Fiery Foods website , and will also be published in the January/February, 2006 issue of Fiery Foods & Barbecue magazine.
