Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 5 cups  oatmeal ground in a blender or food processor to a fine powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 24 ounces chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces Hershey Bar, grated

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°
2. Cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar.
3. Add eggs and vanilla.
4. Mix together flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda and add to above mixture.
5. Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey Bar and chopped nuts. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased sheet. Bake 6 minutes at 375°.
Makes 112 cookies.
