Chipotle Pear Salad

We had this salad with dinner at my Mother's house. We all loved it, and Naomi thought we should add it to our recipe list. So here is and it is really nice; the chipotle chile powder and pears blend really well - Perhaps a surpise, but a tasty one!

 
Ingredients:
  • 1 head bib or green leaf lettuce
  • 1/2 cup pecans, toasted
  • 1/4 cup Maytag Blue Cheese, crumbled
  • 2 pears, sliced
  • 1/2 cup ranch style salad dressing
  • 1/2 to 1 tablespoon chipotle powder
Directions:
  1. Arrange 2 or 3 lettuce leaves on plate.
  2. Lay 3 to 4 sliced pear sections over lettuce.
  3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of blue cheese and several pecans over pears.
  4. Dust salad with chipotle powder.
  5. Top salad with 2 tablespoons of dressing and serve.
